1. Fill in the adjectives based on the
characters given.

Activities:
Set Induction (5
Minutes)
1.
Distribute a piece of paper to the students.
2.
Ask students to think of their best friend dan list the things they like about
him/her.
3.
Called few pupils to read about their best friend.
4.
Teachers elicits response from students.
Presentation
Pre Reading (10
minutes)
1. Attract
pupils’ attention towards adjectives which describe the character of the
person. (Example: friendly, honest,
kind, and etc…)
2. Paste
the word cards contain adjectives on the board.
3. Give
examples of adjectives to students.
While Reading (30
minutes)
1. Read
the passage silently.
2. Students
read aloud the story.
3. Ask
some questions about the story based on the characters, the moral values and
the place and time.
4. Divide
pupils into group of 5 and then distributes the pictures of Anil and his mother
to each group.
5. Pupils
discuss in group the adjectives that represent Anil and his mother.
6. Each
group need to fill in the adjectives as many as they could to describe the
character in each picture.
7. Get
pupils’ feedback and list the answers on the board.
Post Reading (15
minutes)
1. Ask
pupils to find words to describe their friends.
2. Begin
the game by introducing a word and the pupils take turns to say a word that
describes the friend.
3. Example:
Teacher says a name of a person in the class. The first pupil may say “Kind”
and the next pupil may say “Helpful”.
4. *
Options: loving, hardworking, considerate, clever and any other appropriate
words.
